By the end of last year\, all AASM-accredited sleep facilities were required to have implemented the rules in Version 3. \nIn this educational webinar for FREE CSTE credit\, Shahnawaz Khan\, RPSGT EnsoData Clinical Informaticist\, breaks down the five main takeaways from the updates to the AASM Scoring Manual and what it means for sleep labs\, sleep technologists\, and patient care. \nDuring the webinar\, attendees will learn: \n\nThe five main takeaways from the Version 3 updates\nNecessary action items for sleep labs\nImplications of the changes for sleep labs\, sleep techs\, and patients\n\nWebinar registrants must attend the live presentation to qualify for CSTE credit. Simply complete the form to register for the webinar. \nAbout the Presenter: \nShahnawaz Khan\, RPSGT\, CCSH\, has been in the field of sleep for the past 15 years. He began working as a technologist while attending college at the University of California\, Santa Barbara. The patient experience and interest in sleep caused Shahnawaz to fall in love with the field\, and he became an RPSGT\, moved to San Francisco\, and worked as a technologist at Stanford Sleep Center. He acquired his CCSH and wanted to expand his experience working in the field; this led him to work with the BRPT on the exam development committee. From then on he has worked at various research and tech institutions and has many years of experience as a dedicated scorer\, with experience in over 20 different sleep systems. \nShahnawaz currently is an RPSGT Clinical Informaticist at EnsoData. He assists customers with a comprehensive understanding of the software and serves as a liaison providing clinical expertise in usability\, and helping bridge the gap between technologists and the growing AI scoring technology presence in the industry.

Mortara\, PhD has over 25 years of healthcare experience\, spanning medtech\, digital health and tech-enabled services in both established companies and early-stage ventures.  A physicist by training\, Justin brings an appreciation for the power of data and a passion for solving complex problems in our healthcare system.  In 2022 he was appointed CEO of EnsoData (Madison\, WI)\, the leader in interoperable artificial intelligence (AI) solutions for sleep medicine spanning both diagnosis and predictive therapy adherence.  Prior to joining EnsoData\, Justin served as CEO of Mortara Instrument (Milwaukee\, WI)\, a leading global provider of devices and software solutions used to diagnose cardiovascular disease.  During his tenure Mortara grew more than twenty-fold and was ultimately acquired by Hillrom (Baxter) in 2017.  Justin conducted research at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory and earned his doctorate from the University of California – Berkeley following his Bachelor of Arts at the University of Chicago.  He serves on the boards of various healthcare businesses including EnsoData and QuadMed.
